Alpha 07 - very basic AI, more complex missions, the controls are just going to be tricky.


The controls are reverted a bit to be more like they originally were.  There is a mechanism now where tapping the opposite direction to rotation will just stop the ship if you are going slow enough.  But overall I like having the ship a bit harder to control because the ship is supposed to be a monster of a vehicle.

AI Ships
The raiders fight back now.  Your ship is better in every way.  You can take them on.

A More Complex Mission
The new last mission is a big difference from before.  Just remember to hit the waypoint!

Bullets and Factions
Ships now belong to factions. You can't actually see that info in game yet, but its how the AI determines who to shoot at.  I also made it so bullets can't hurt ships from your own faction. Because in one test I watched 50 Starfuries friendly fire their way down to 20 Starfuries by accident.

More to Come
I really love the music of Babylon 5 and I intend for there to be music in the game. I am sticking with my desire to have no 3rd party dependencies and to keep it as basic as possible. I use nothing but basic canvas calls to draw the graphics and I'll be relying on AudioContext to generate music on the fly.
